Windsor Village

A community for brighter futures

Who Manages Windsor Village?

Windsor Village is self-managed by volunteers from the community who donate their time, talent and treasure to get things done.  We are always looking for residents to help us do all the things that need to be done.

Deed Restrictions

We live in a deed restricted community and we live in the City of Houston which has laws and restrictions.  When you moved into Windsor Village you should have received a copy of your deed restrictions.  This tells you what is and is not allowed in our community.  If you did not receive a copy, you can request one from the county clerk’s office or you can check the Resources section of our website.  We need volunteers to help police our area and report violations.

Communications

This committee has a lot of opportunity for volunteers.  They create, edit, print and distribute the newsletter.  We are looking for Village residents to help us deliver newsletters.  Also, if you prefer to receive your newsletter via email, let us know via the contact us page form.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Beautification

Gardening.  Planting and maintaining our front entrances are done by 2 volunteers currently.  This is too much work for 2 people.  Any help you can give, from watering, weeding to planting flowers is much appreciated.  You can contact the membership chair regarding planting flowers.  Watering and weeding you are welcome to do on your own.

Membership

Membership has the responsibility of sending out bills for civic club dues.  This is something we started doing recently.  Billing nearly 900 homes is a lot of work.  Envelopes need to be prepped, stuffed, stamped and mailed.  But this is something done once or twice a year.  So if you can offer some time for short term projects that is very helpful.

Block Captains

Block Captains are the life blood of a thriving community.  They are friendly people who know everyone on their block.  This is very important with crime prevention, as well as elderly care.  We always need people to help with this.

Citizens Patrol

We have an active Citizens Patrol group.  This is a crime prevention technique supported by the police department.  We hold a class every two years and always need more members.
